Something that happens today gives your popularity a boost and that might mean that you're on top of the social scene for a little while! Use your new power for good, unless you're feeling sneaky.

OOOOOH.

Anyway, darling Charing's EIGHTEENTH yesterday was ultra-super-glamorous-fun. Went over to her place at 4+ and woke WH up. He looks very very scary with his eyes open like that (!!!), and he spouts off serious nonsense after he gets up. So got started on her hair, which took until 5.30 to do, hehe, and then I rushed my hair, and dragged my make-up bag with me into the car so I could apply on the way.

And I am still very proud of the fact that I can put on mascara in a moving car and not kill anyone (including myself) with the wand :)

Dinner was a little awkward, because I hardly know C's friends, but food and SC kept the conversation going. OOH and C's pretty flowers and cake!

Post-dinner, we adjoined to the bar lounge and promptly ordered the mildest drink we could think of for C - you're 18! :)

The medley of cocktails was astoundingly pretty! And the chips (nachos :P) were good! And apparently from Giant, according to Vanessa and Nat, I think. Anyway, the frozen Blue Marg I had was mild from all the ice, but I loved the salt! :) And I must source for Blue Curacao (pronounced Kur-a-sow, I finally found out :P)

I think she looks so radiantly gorgeous here! :) Hair's courtesy of yours truly.

The matching Strawberry Daiquiris :)

Vanessa, Nat and I did the champagne selection thing after; we had no idea how to select champagne, so Vanessa asked the waiter for recs. Ended up with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label tasting, and waited for the rest to come back from a rest-room trip before deciding on ordering a bottle. WH was apparently stoning in the men's room so we waited pretty long... Haha ordered a bottle.

Funky pic of the server moving the champagne bottle around???
Uber - the project

    <lj:music>My Drive Thru - Santogold, Casablancas, NERD</lj:music>

SO I actually sent in an e-mail to the uber peeps about deleting the uber account... because darlings, slymanda.uber.com sounds err strange. And will leave a rather different impression on people compared to something boring but workable - amandasun.uber.com :)

While I wait for the administrators to delete that particular account so I can set up a more... savoury one, I will keep blogging here at lj :)

Anyway Leash, I left the pre NYEs 07 pix on flickr - find them here.

Today was slightly more productive.

I got up a little later than expected, grabbed a yoghurt to go, tossed on an outfit and screeched out the door in my booties, Jessica opening the front door and gate for me - when we realised that the lifts weren't working. Egad. So I changed into flats (oh how I've err kind of missed you!) and stomped down six flights of stairs.

OOH I HAVE MID-YEAR RESOLUTIONS :)

Aren't you proud of me?

One of them is to carry a light heart at all times. So I look upon the stomping down six flights of stairs as cool morning exercise!!! I'm getting very very err plump so umm yes, morning exercise! :D

Ended up cabbing to Raffles City, because buses have bad timing.

Met XP near Starbucks at the MRT side, and we went to BK because he hadn't had brekkie yet (sorry for making you wait so long!) SO he got some food and we opened up our laptops and... "Okay there's no wireless@sg here. Crap."

Anyway, we managed to discuss the 3D diagram pretty much! Like all we need to do is just construct it.

Let's use... paper mache! Environmentally friendly :D

So now I have to figure out how to paper mache again - it's been like err 5 years since I last touched it? Or maybe 3. Hmm.

I'm craving all those chic how-to-be-green books out now. I have Green Is the New Black but it's really... UK and not very universal.

Anyway, met Mum & Ella at the sausage place in Taka B2, then went to get a bottle of Fiji for my tummyache. Then we went to get Charing's present! SEKRIT - you'll find out tomorrow dear! :) HAPPY SEVENTEEN-AND-THREE-HUNDRED-AND-SIXTY-FIVE DAYS LOVE! I can't wait for tomorrow!

And I'm in LOVE with this pair of Kate Spade shoes! Like shimmery black MJ pumps - the material reminds me of those coolio Jap origami papers we all used to love in primary school!

Kino stop next. SKINNY BITCH + RUMORS (SEQUEL TO THE LUXE) = YAY! Then off to the orthodontist. I have a couple of months to go, Ella has a month. MUM TOOK THEM OFF!!! Lol she's like, "It feels so gross."

OHHH AND I STAINED MY MJ BAG!!! Well, this stupid brown Clear Colour pen did. I'm dying, even though I managed to get the brown out, reducing the stains to a pretty rainbow of purple, pink and slight blues and yellows. And the bright sides are that the bag's only stained on the inside, and the slight stain on the outside is barely visible and on the back of the bag, not the front. Phew.

Got home, and read Time :) I am a well-read intelligent individual, or so I like to think.

And thank yous to my beloved parents for the overnight clearing gel (ick bacne), the awesome new PHD (portable hard drive ahahaha) and the earphones. Even though the earphones are kinda tacky.

I will be grateful for all I have.

Sleepoever @ C's & An Exhausting Day

Well, Saturday was immensely fun-filled. With Dad driving, we dropped my stuff off at Charing's and he sent us to JEC, where we had Macs for lunch (oh how glamorous) and talked there for quite a long time, finally realising the time was just right for ice-skating :)

It was tricky getting back on the ice, was very wobbly. And there was plenty of eye-candy, actually... influx of guys. Also, the music played was good old remixed pop (A*Teens, Britney, S Club etc) and it was like reliving our childhood a little.

Met Pet there! Girl has funky moves! Hugged her goodbye when we left about 4pm.

We decided to bus to Orchard, but ended up going to Vivo after a 45 minute bus-ride (I bumped my head against the glass, ouch). I was very tempted to give in to my Carl's Jr french fry cravings, but Charing stopped me, and we indulged in MAC buying (ooh la la, we shared the new Naughty Nauticals shell-shiny lipstick in Port Red - the best red lippie we've found so far, and Charing also got a blush in Foolish Me, bright apricot) and birthday present shopping with candy bits mixed in. A last stop to Candy Empire for sleepoever treats (yay for Red Rock Deli) and a sunglassed exit, to the bus-stop for a 25 minute wait for the elusive 855.

Wes had just returned from HK, his flight delayed due to the bad weather (where cars can't even get on the highway in HK???). Haha was good to see him.

Dinner was good! I love the salmon and the chicken :P

We didn't snack out on Haagen Daz, but we did eat the Pods (mmm) and I ate my Honey Almonds (new favourite healthy snack). Chilled out like crazy until 3am :P

Woke up next morning with pounding in my head.

We all went for lunch at Imperial with my family, and I made several trips to the bathroom, one of which resulted in err throwing up everything I had consumed at lunch. Bad. Gross. But I felt much better.

Mum and Dad wanted me to go home and rest, but I refused, and went for the cut at HM. While hair was being washed, felt a little ill because of the neck position, and freaked the hair-washer out :P Received awesome head massage from her after that though. Cut was good, but styling? Carol burnt a portion of my hair! There was something deeply wrong with the hair straightener she was using to curl my hair and it went crazy after a while. It burnt a towel!

So yuck, went over to Monsoon where Betty salvaged the "lui yun" hairstyle a little for me - I changed it later on to suit my own tastes. Gosh it's impossible for hairstylists to actually give you what you want. THIS is why I do my own hair.

Anyway, big fight in the car with the rentals on the way to Mel's... will not get into any details. At Mel's, only Ziyang was there, and there was a lot of sound from the NCC camp at Chye... whatever Sec School opp Mel's. I don't know how she lives like that.

More people, and the pizzas came (SIX, and I think Sharry eventually ate one entire pizza). It was really chill, with a little catching up, and LOTR Two Towers. I'm still lost in the saga and I doubt I'll ever get over the phobia. At 10pm, rentals came to pick me up and gave Sharry, Beu and Bong a ride to Bugis.

The chill class gathering was right for the kind of day I'd had :) Can't wait for next Sunday's thing, although I'll have to do a Father's Day Brunch, not dinner... Or else go for an early dinner and then head to JR's for the party.

Today I woke up at 2pm. Head's a little freaked out by yesterday still.

I HATE THE FUCKING HOLIDAYS.

Anyway, Tuesday, Sentosa! Amara Sanctuary, a really new resort, and very modern. Pretty awesome hanging out in the cosy tiny villa... tanned, ate, swam, read. I tanned on the table beside the sun-bed pavilion because the sun decided to move...

Dinner was fabulous, at the Thai place - dessert was mango with glutinous rice, my absolute favourite Thai dessert :)

Craved for margaritas pretty bad, but room service didn't have cocktails on the menu :(

I literally wore my bikini the whole time I was at the resort. The shower was outdoors! So you could bathe in all your glory for all to see if you wished. Obviously, with the parents opposite, and Ella and her friend Esther there, I bathed in my swimsuit.

Read a lot of books when I was there, imagine if I could live alone forever in some remote villa...

The morning had a buffet breakfast with a fresh fruit juice bar, roti prata and a lot of food. *Died*

Tanned more... Lunch was at One deg 15, ate very little.

Dinner on Wed was at Inagiku at Fairmont; mmm. The chef paid special attention to popo :P

Thursday was... waking up super late and then watching P&P with a tub of Haagen Daz chocolate ice-cream. Sigh. Life reeks. And then you die and hopefully wake up in an alternate universe where romance works out and everything else comes effortlessly.

Today was waking up early, saying farewell to popo, uncle and aunt, receiving a frantic "I just woke up!" message from Jc, running late to meet Jc and Faith, Starbucks-ing, popcorn-ing and watching SATC: TM which is so fabulously chic, touching, amazing, stunning... It's a fashionista's dream, despite the somewhat extravagant and over-done outfits at times. MANOLOOOOS!!!

Someone please get me a pair of gladiator sandals?

Then walked Jayney to the bus-stop outside Tangs so she could bus to PS to meet TimT and Yiwei for Sakae sushi buffet (!). Faith and I proceeded to window shop! Talked a lot. And burnt calories as well :) We didn't eat/drink anything.

After browsing in Calvin Klein, we walked to the Heeren bus-stop so I could bus to Raffles City, and so she could meet her friend Mark (OOH) . HAVE FUN IN HK DEAR! And buy me back some fab shoes. Korean clothes or Jap clothes will do too :)

Met Mel at the Body Shop ("xx is going to look like a church mouse next to us") and we walked around the mall, and then Robinson's. And then I gave into buying MAC nail lacquer in Phosphor! It's the most faaaaaabulous colour! Like I've never seen anyone here wear anything like it before so YES. And it's newly launched so that's awesome. Will paint later post-shower. Yellow is still my favourite colour of the year.

Ooh expect me to up the make-up factor soon. I feel like revolutionising my make-up.

XP stood us up :(

So Mel and I went to OChaCha for tea! Had the OChaCha Freeze, Mel had the Rocks. Mmm, healthy! Also had the Salmon Sandwich with the Tomato Basil Soup, since I skipped both lunch and breakfast (for the Java Chip and the popcorn...).

Then we talked like for two to three hours. And then picked up shoes at Aldo for her bf :) So sweet.

I MRT-ed then bused home from Newton, dinner was porridge with some dishes I actually can consume :) Dessert was cheesecake!

Now, my dear readers, I will commence my nightly primping session beginning with a shower. Tomorrow I'm out with Charing for a fun exhausting day :) Dear Jayne has gone off for a midnight swim...

Oops you weren't supposed to know about the nightly primping session. Oh well.

The holidays have been unproductive, really.

Last Thursday was spent bumming around and recuperating from WOW; suffered from WOW withdrawal (woke up and wondered why there weren't the murmurs of the girls; or why there wasn't anyone to shake/poke/scream awake). Friday was spent breakfasting at Macs (where I bumped into Tim Loh), bringing Jayne breakfast and being random at her fabulous pad, at which I predict I will crash many times in the future :)

A tour of her place, a few sips of aloe apple juice (beyond which a fly promptly dropped into said juice and I refrained from consuming it any further), and a tete-a-tete with her adorable dog (which kept trying to leapt onto me) ensued. Also, I uploaded the Bintan media from her card and observed her figuring her mum's iPod out :P

I met one of her neighbours, who said she liked the way I speak :) And said that even though Jayne wasn't going overseas for any holidays, she still had me to bum around with, lol.

After skimming through her bookshelves ("YOU'RE DOING THE SATS??? THAT'S A VERY THICK BOOK FOR FIVE PRACTICE TESTS."), and borrowing the first of The Mind Gym books, I waited as Jayne picked out various outfits for the pre-camp meeting that was taking place in school. Her room is extremely comfy and resort-like, not to mention, very tidy and clean-cut (as compared to my room with various knick-knacks everywhere). Further observation of her study room led to the notice of a certain letter informing Jayne of the collection of O level certificates. "...by 30th May 2008... Beyond... may not ensure the security..."

"Jayne, isn't today the 30th?"

"Yeah, it should be. Why?"

"It's the last day for O cert collection, according to this letter."

Thus a flurry of phone calls and messages ensued, and after Jayne got dressed, we cabbed to NY to get Jayne's cert, then Jayne dropped me off at a bus-stop so I could bus to SC. Met Rhea and we talked for a while before I went to the GO to collect my cert. Only two staffers were there, so I had to wait a bit. Collecting my cert left me a little nostalgic. I worked my brains off to get this cert. Wow.

Tried bus-ing to Anchorage, but got lost (I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID) and flagged a cab down at Lower Delta. I met my family for lunch at a HK cafe; my grandma, uncle and aunt, as you all know, are in town.

The rest of the day? Slacking.

For both Sat and Sun, I overslept and didn't go for yoga. I now feel slightly guilty. I didn't go for lunch at the Chinese place at St. Regis on Sat either, because for some strange reason, I felt supremely exhausted. Dinner was at Old HK in East Coast, where we contributed to the Sichuan cause. I ate a lot.

I seem to be scarfing food down a lot now, because I was quite a glutton in Bintan. It's rather horrible; I must stop.

Sunday - lunch was bought at the poolside cafe, an eyelash perm at the little known Browhaus branch on the fifth level of Wheelock took place at 1445-1610 and two books and two magazines were purchased at Borders. The counter guy decided to be nice to me; as one of the books was Sex and the City, of which stock was low (this was the last book in the store), if I bought this other magazine, I would get two movie passes to SATC: TM. "We didn't advertise this offer, because we have very little stock of the book, but we still have stock of the magazine and the tickets."

So yes, I now have two movie passes to SATC: TM at any cinema (exclu all the special ones), an SATC luggage tag and a sample of SJP's Covet, with compliments of SPH.

Cool.

Grabbed some M&S goodies, and a Venti Java Chip Frappuccino Light before cabbing home, rushing to do my make-up and hair and change for the C5 concert. Went to Raffles City for dinner, met Christine's aunt and uncle, who are very concerned SC parents, and spoke to me a lot about education.

Christine is very tall. Taller than I am in heels. Crazy. Esther is very sweet, and kind of worried about her height. Don't worry dear, you'll grow.

At SIS, bought a C5 tank (American Apparel - much better than TPS, or whatever merchandising that's local) and a vintage-y soft white shirt. Oh and the program. Also signed up for the SIS Star Pass thing, since it'll entitle me to discounts, draws etc... and a free Will.I.Am CD I don't need but don't have. All for free, so why not?

While waiting for the concert to start, I read five chapters of SATC.

C5 was tame, but fun in that innocent kid-screaming sort of way. Lots of jumping and waving, and it kind of reminded me of how it used to be. That sort of innocence and excitement. Lol especially after the concert, Ella, Esther and I were sitting outside the stadium, waiting for pick-up, when the band came out or something, and everyone went running towards the doors the band could be seen through, screaming their hearts out.

Got caught one time by the usher people for video-camming, but tied the phone to my tie so video could happen; but there's a lot of shaking and moving, because of the jumping and dancing. Oops.

Met Mel after the concert, and took a pic; funn. She claims I was overdressed! I wasn't! If that's overdressed, you'd be pretty shocked at the stuff I usually wear. Daddy says I'm a Sinkie, so my dress sense is warped.

Had sushi after coming home, and now chilling out...

Mostly FOOD :)

At the terminal, it was pretty funny because Jayne and I have the heaviest, bulkiest luggages. Before we reached customs, there was a flight of stairs. I decided to just heave my luggage up, while Jayne accepted BKhoo's offer of muscle. Seriously Jayne, this is a holiday for you right? Lol.

Then after customs, I thought there were going to be no more stairs, but I was wrong. This time it was down. Shyte.

Declined BKhoo's offer of help and tahan-ed. Left Jayne with the muscle - aren't I nice? :)

Boat was air-con, and pretty stable. Even Tim didn't realise we were moving at first. Slept on the top deck while watching Meet The Spartans... Pretty boring ride, but chilled out here and there.

At TMFT, was pretty tempted by... AB MANGO!!! WOW. And at $27??? DADDY PLEASE GO TO BINTAN AND BUY BACK PLEASE.

But anyway, shared a cab back with Jayney darling. Cam-whored some more!

I'm wearing one of the pretty $6 dresses I got at Ramayana here. COOL RIGHT? Dropped Jayne off, and went home ($30 cab fare; wow), happily dumping my luggage on the marble floor, and washing my face properly. Uncle Ronald and Popo were at home with Daddy, so said lots of HIs and caught up a bit. Went out to Balestier for chicken rice dinner. MMM I MISSED ACTUAL FOOD!

WOW was really amazing, mostly because of the stuff we did that we didn't expect, the secrets we share, the experiences that can't be found anywhere else or with anyone else. The girls and I now know so much more about each other and we're less afraid to show the lesser-seen sides of us to each other. The guys probably bonded a lot as well - through the "Guy Talks" (one of which they chased us away to conduct).

Words to remind me of this forever:
coconuts, dreams, fears, yeah, girl-talks, tanning, camwhoring, kids, volleyball, mosquitoes, puke, showers, sand, beaches, agro, loola, outfits, dress-up, braids, frangipanis, nets, msg, coils, bond, love, videos, songs

:)

Day 6

Got chided for being 20 minutes late for breakfast, which was pretty awesome. The breakfast, I mean. Then our class had until 8.30 to chill out at the beach and in our rooms, waiting for the guys to arrive in the bus, which took us to Berakit. On the walk to the mangrove swamps, we got the pleasure of whacking our classmates pretty often... because of the major mosquito attack.

Mangrove-planting was cool because we didn't get bitten at all, or bothered by bugs. But we did sink into the mud, and we did get dirty ("More mud mask for you, eh?" - Foo). Lots of people became obsessed with crabs and snails (esp like Jiarong? Crab-fighting? My crab is bigger than your crab.)

Nothing's more entertaining than writing out "I ♥U" with the tip of a conical shell.

Smacked more people on the way back, and washed gunk off at a well. Some lucky lucky dudes got to take the suv back :( while the rest of us walked the paths, battling mosquitoes and meeting kitties :)

Berakit Sec? We had fun, and I realised how much I REALLY suck at volleyball. Eargh. But hey! My bruises are GONE. So there!

Went back to Agro, and Mrs R asked for her flip-flops and headed off to some weird direction so...

US: Madam, where are you going?
Mrs R: To the spa; would you girls like to come with me?

"Oh, are there mani-pedis?" "massage?" "Madam how much?"

Mrs R: (Gives rough sum of massage fee and answers some of our questions) I can lend you some money if you need.
US: OOH.

So we followed her to the spa and it felt pretty good being in that tranquil place of beauty and relaxation :) FINALLY, AN EXAMPLE OF COMPLETE CIVILISATION!!!

So Mel, Bong, Jayne and I booked the hand spa and foot spa, Sharry and Weekee opted for the full-body massages and Madam did something else? Was pretty coooool. And we didn't expect the hand and foot spas to take place on this pavilion overlooking the gorgeous sea.

Relaxed like crazy, but the nail-painting was horrible, and the cuticle pushing and all that shit? HURT LIKE MAD.

No kidding. OUCH. AND I'M VERY WORRIED ABOUT INFECTIONS NOW.

But anyway, rushed back to the hotel room and threw some stuff onto our faces, our hair... turned out like this:

And after all the hair-braiding...

Cool right? I love the highlights my hair got from all the sun. And we got lost. And we were talking in Chinese about how the driver was going to abduct us. And how we'd kill him first :P

Campfire was a littleee dull. Except that before it, we tied Debbie into a straitjacket :) (ooh check straitjacket by alanis morissette! awesome song) and Joshua did a funky pose.

But after leaving the camp with a little sadness, we went back to Agro, where I puked my guts out ("Who knows what the satay was really made out of???") and received the best care from the most awesome roomies in the world (THANKS IZZY, love you! For the awesome massage! Mother hen :) And Jayney and Bong for ordering room service.)

Stayed up until 3+ going crazy with Bong and Jayne :) they are serious fun-stuff.

Hopefully I can really write it all out this time :P

Splitting into three so that you all don't die reading.

We visited the orphanage again in the afternoon and I actually had fun with the kids! Considering how much I don't click with kids, that's saying a lot. Tools of the trade include a funky digital camera, a pair of sunglasses and lots of smiles :)

It was kind of sad to leave. And the little girl who was "hosting" me kept pointing me out to her friends and smiling when we bid them adieu. I'm so missing the golden-highlighted twinsies! Damn adorable! But yet so haunted.

Anyway, went back to Loola for dinner. Chikooos. And Bkhoo got obsessed by the coils and the lighter... So much that there's a small burn-hole in my Ripcurl board shorts. And he flicked a rather large chunk of coil at my neck. Ouch.

But that night was pretty sad, because we got separated as a class - girls had to move to a hotel to accommodate some Tampines UG. As in, we were pretty happy to get air-con, actual beds with proper bedding and a clean room, but we still missed the guys' presence, after being so used to it.

Anyway, SC VP came with M YL, and Munching and I talked to her for a bit... until our roomies were like, "Hurry up! We're going to the rooms now!"

Slept late after muchos girl-talk in Sharry's room. Ping actually did something girly!!! :)

So right, we went to sleep under the stars on yoga mats on the sand that night, but Kee Kee and I woke up at 1am, freezing with sand in places they're never supposed to be. Went into the tent to sleep, but missed out the awesome star-gazing sessions :(

Day 5

Woke up super groggy and joined the star-gazing crew for some random talks. Breakfast was cool, but it started to rain like, into our milo, so we ran into our tents. And all the clothes we put out to dry? Kaput.

Boat-ride back was chill, we basked in the sun for a really short period of time. Whole bunch of us declined going on the hill trek :P and chilled out at our hut back at Loola.

Ok more later, off to bring Jayney breakfast from Macs - McGriddle!

Seriously.

like, wow.

sums it up pretty well...

Day 1

TMFT - Jayne was LATE.

Me (on the phone to her): Hey I'm on the way already, are you leaving the house soon?

Jayne: Wow, so early?

Me: Not really. We have to be there at 8.10.

Jayne: WHAT? I thought 8.30?

Me: Er no dear. 8.10.

Jayne: Okay I'm leaving soon.

She arrived a half-hour after me :O

Anyway, pretty awesome chilling out at the top deck of the ferry, the wind fierce, the company entertaining.

The accommodations, on the other hand, were a little disappointing when we got to Loola "Resort". More for the guys, because the 70+ of them had to squeeze into two dorms. The girls were luckier, landing the huts. Check it...

Visited the Tanjung Pinang Orphanage in the afternoon. I swear, I suck with kids. Tim and I talked (well, mostly Tim) with the head of the orphanage, and we found out a lot of interesting stuff, like how many kids were in the orphanage, where majority comes from, how many come in a year... It was a humbling experience.

On the way back, got some food from the supermarket (thanks again to Brian K. for asking for the stop!) and then went back to Loola for slacking and showering. Many nights were spent just talking while sitting on the path along the huts, and letting the guys shower in our hut.

Food at Loola was a) mostly spicy b) mostly the same c) somewhat unhealthy.

Day 2

Kayaking in the morning - got paired up with Johnny, to whom I am very sorry because I slacked off like crazy. OOPS. It was very very fun though, and it was super duper cool with all the capsizing (HA! WE DIDN'T CAPSIZE AND WE KEPT TO THE FRONT, WE ROCK) and the bumping going on. Foo got stuck under the bridge in his one-man banana kayak :P

Lunching after kayaking, and then rafting! TOK class split. We were totally mocking the other half but our raft was a total failure, but it was a really fun failure, with the raft acting as a sort of trishaw after a while. The other half had a functioning raft that supported everybody's weight... but a pole broke and Sharry got a sort of unavoidable nosejob? Anyway, we broke a grand total of two bamboo poles that day. OOPS.

I think that day was the start of the Coconut Obsession. Izzy and Bong found a brown coconut with liquid inside, and were determined to get it open. Most memorable about Bong: "Die, die!" *Stab, stab*

Someone: Why are there squeaky sounds when you stab the coconut (with the scissors Zi Yang provided)?

Bong: Squeaky!

ROFL.

Anyway, Jialong became a man obsessed and hacked and pulled the coconut apart with his bare hands (with the occasional aid of the scissors); oh he tried to drink the juice, but we didn't allow him to. Man obsessed!!!

Also... T&D sessions begin :P

Day 3

Visit to Kijang Pri in the morning - kids are fascinated with digital cameras! Amazing. We taught them random songs :) Also, we stocked up on food on the way back in preparation for Survivor Island; I picked up some AAA batteries for le speaker too. Oh, and part of my shoe's sole came off.

In the afternoon, we climbed coconut trees (I lost more parts of my shoe's sole - Jayne: Amanda's lost her soul/sole.), did some archery and finally reached the Flying Fox, which was damn hilarious. After that, we engaged in a sand-fight!!! My aim sucks, and Brian K. plays dirty by sinking underneath the water to avoid sandballs. Hmphh. And Jiarong's atomic sandbombs are a little scary.

Suffice it to say, our hair was pretty screwed up after that. Some of us walked to the huts by sea, and were a little freaked out by all the seaweed and crap in the water. Oh, and the water supply in the hut shower ran out, so Jayne went to the tap by the pavillions and I tried using the spray next to the toilet. Er, bad idea because the supply really ran out. So I put on my spankin fresh YLS shirt and my FBTs and ran out clutching a towel. Soapy, shampoo-y and conditioner-y, I joined Jayne at the tap. FREEZING.

So lesson? If the supply shows any sign of running out, DO NOT PUT ANY SOAP ON YOURSELF. Mannns. Especially when you're sandy ALL OVER.

Day 4

Visited the Junior High School on Kelong Island, and we were originally going to a Malay wedding, but instead, allocated more time to lunch on the boat and boom-netting!

(Shh about that secret, btw.)

Boom-netting... scary, because you ARE kind of committing suicide, but extremely thrilling and worth it. Try jumping from the third level... and muchos cheap thrills floating from the front of the net to the back, carried by the current. "Wheeee!"

It was pretty awesome just floating there... and the back-flips done by some of the guys (and Mel, and Sharry?) were coool stuff. Now the island... perfect for tanning. I think we freaked everybody else out. Three groups:

One: Coconut-hunting and gathering
Two: Sandcastle-building
Three: Tanning

Whee.

Kept trying to get all the sand out of everywhere unsuccessfully, so after dinner, a bunch of us went back to the ferry to try to get everything off. Lying on the boat staring up at the stars is awesome.

FELT SO GOOD GETTING ALL THE SAND OFF! And it was pretty funny because Jayne, Bong and I decided to bathe err collectively. At this point, no one really cares any more :P So we were kind of freezing in bikini-wear.

Okay talk more later. Gtg for a bit...

Eeks Chanel Resort 2009!!! HEADBANDS TDF!!!

Sigh. Must sew some.

Okay this is a really late entry...

First up...

HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY MY LINH!!!

Thank you for being the gorgeous person you are, both inside and outside. I am so thankful for having you in my life, always there to give me an honest opinion, even though we don't agree sometimes, we've never given up on each other. Thank you for always believing in me, in my strengths and weaknesses. Let us hope that we keep on celebrating the month of May and Taurus together forever! Keep your style your own and remember to take care of yourself and seriously stay true to what you believe in. I LOVE YOU! <3

Today I got up late, did some of my report, some Math, some essay-writing and a lot of tidying and sorting out of my school stuff. Headed out for dinner with Charing, WH, Charing's parents and my own family at Amigo at Funan. Charing and I both wore stiff white cotton kind of stuff! And she used her awesomeee Kate Spade clutch :) I finally took my pretty peep-toe black patent with silver faux snakeskin accents heels out to the streets :D

Mmm food's as good as ever, but SO filling! Feel extra fat now. Even though the apple pie was soooo good. And we had a lot of syrup! ("It's tasteless!" "Manda, use your charm to ask the waiter for more syrup!" "I'm just going to watch you both fight over it.")

So then we got to talking about movies and we decided to go watch What Happens In Vegas (Charing, WH and I) at Cathay.

Charing's parents sent us to the Cathay, and we got our tickets (second row, but it's okay...). LOTS of fun watching WHIV! Like Charing said, Cameron Diaz's stems are TDF! Jealous! But the movie's great, honestly. Haven't seen such a good one for a while. SO getting the DVD for NYE! Haha Charing was like, "Ooh tradition!" because we watched the Holiday at NYE last year. Lalalala...

Then had B&Js (hehe) and listened to the band playing (no idea what's their name) at the Scoopers' Lounge for like a minute before Daddy picked Charing and I up.

Whee okay Charing and I are going shopping either Tue night or Wed pm. Jayney! Is that okay if Charing comes for WOW shopping? So funnn.

I just realised why all the photos I take with my phone look like shit.

It's because of the the fucking setting! I keep thinking 320x240 is a compulsory setting! Okay at least now that I know, I can start taking prettyyy pictures again. Pity I didn't realise before ROM!!! Okay so sorry to all who are affected by the shitty resolution!

Today: waking up at a not so decent time, skipping EFG, skipping HFH briefing @ VJ, seeing the Regency Park unit, lunching at Say Cheezecake while rents talk with RE agent, getting contacts and resolving to get nerd glasses (so fun!), home and worrying abt HFH crapola stuff going on, clearing out jewellery + accessories (like scarves, belts etc), rushing to get ready...

Managed to drag Charing and WH down to Fort Canning Green with me for ROM - they later told me it was actually pretty good! Yayy!!! Haha I bribed them to come down with a) booze (half a cranberry juice container of cosmopolitan and a ribena vodka water bottle...) b) magazines (Vogue US June + Vanity Fair June) c) paid taxi fare, paid tickets and car ride for Charing home (courtesy of the rents). Woww.

When we got there, we were at the wrong side X)

So we walked around and found the Green, bought tickets (well, I did) and went in :) Bumped into Lis - who was looking Hawaiian-gorgeous! Headed to the high steps at the side so we could put our stuff down. I then found Steph and hung out with her crew for the whole thing, while checking in on Charing and WH every once in a while :P They apparently got more high sitting alone at the side in their lovey-dovey-ness.

RTR was good! Like the sound quality was sooo good (vocals ROCKED) that Charing thought Nick was lip-synching! Oooh. Haha E Jin didn't mess up or anything, played good, but was a little still; LOOSEN UP A LITTLE! :P

Loved Stellastory's lead vocals again, haha chilling! Allura - my goodness, rendition of Toxic = awesome stuff; anyone got the recording? Cardinal Avenue - a little stale... for me, at least. Fire Fight - awesome! Like super coolness dancing freak stuff. Would have been better if we had actually jumped more, pumped more. 3RD JUNE's the next date of a local-bands-charity-concert, and Su-Ann, you'd better be there too :)

Post-concert, we waited to get pictures taken and we ended up in pictures that will appear on the fire fight fb page! And I got to take home the sheet that reads "BE A". HAHA.

Okay then Charing, WH and I walked all the way to PS, had Mos and a lot of laughs, and then the rents came to pick us up at 11.30 at the cab stand.

Thanks for coming you guys!
It was extremely sticky, messy and fun! Oh and completely pointless. Funny bits yesterday:

Expecting the ball bearing provided to drop at a pace slow enough to actually time its descent - no such thing! Zi Yang had to speed-click the stopwatch. Like 0.27s?!

Expecting the ball bearing to actually drop at a fast pace at 100cm3 of pure viscous liquid. It took nearly half a minute.

Er... I got a honey wax X) because of the stupid sticky honey that accidentally got stuck on my arm.

Apparently, Bingei only waves to objects behind people - "hi pillar!"

SHIRU! I HAVE GOT TO SEE THAT VIDEO OF THE CELLO-IST. Orgasmic huh? :P

Eargh report to be done! GROSS. Currently, it's at 5 pages long. A few more to go?

Okay we're going to BINTAN now. I was starting to look forward to the Lanchou trip! Overnight train sounded cooool. But now we're only going to try partying on the beaches! Shh, sneaky sneaky out of our rooms... But I can't do all the cool adventure-ish stuff that requires moving legs (like wall climbing...) because my ankle refuses to heal completely.

OMG BUT I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOON-NETTING!!! SO AWESOME. Lalalalaa must look for swimsuits pre-Thursday.

And I'm glad I'm in 5.14 because you could not find cooler people to go anywhere with :D It doesn't matter that we're going to somewhere that's less glam than the trip we had planned for before, the people we're going with are the ones that matter :)

Anyway, deal for the house didn't go through. We're getting a unit at Regency Park instead, but we're not moving. Sooo girlies, we can still partyy at my place until I move to Sky@11, where we'll party even more! Hmm. One party has suddenly triggered off huge desire to have and attend more parties! Cooool.

Sorry. A little weird now. I think I'm suffering from incurable insanity.

Okay yesterday I bought... FIVE magazines for WOW and three fiction books and one Penguin Dictionary of Literary Terms & Literary Theory. I resolve to become a super pro English A1 student!

And I really really have to get started on my IOP essay. And my P2 essay. And my Medea essay. And I have to study for Math test?! And finish my report. And finish the two Physics past-CT papers.

!
